Tv & DVD(R) recorder set up for best picture?

Your antenna picture shouldn't be affected since it will byp thru to tv and hd since true digital will either work or not work. Are you still watching the tv channels thru the tv? If you are watching thru the dvd-r(using it to change channels), then your picture is definitely not as good. Your dvd recorder can only record and show you a picture of 480i/p (about 300k pixels), but when byped thru to tv you see the full hd picture 720p/1080i (1 million pixels). Still use hdmi for best dvd picture, but make sure you use the tv's tuner to change channels with.
