Immigrating with a skilled trade to canada?

would an air conditioning and refridgeration engineer qualify to immigrate to canada i am desperate to emigrate to canada and want to weigh up my options as to the best way of qualifying. I know there is a ressession and jobs may be scarce but by the time i come to have enough experience the ressession hopefully should be over.
