Is it a help to ANYONE when religious leaders speak out against ity? When they preach that?

uality is impure, unnatural and against God's law and nature...does anything positive come from this preaching, or does this simply expand the misunderstanding, hate, and bigotry? Does this add to the possibility of people committing suicide?
