I broke my jaw and had my jaw wired shut for 5 weeks. I now have a lisp.?

Will this lisp go away in time i have the top and bottom part of the metal still on but the wires that were holding it together are gone. I can only open my mouth half way so maybe that has something to do with it it will eventually be fully able to open. It is just horrible i can not say any s's will i need speech thearpy i sound very dumb. It is so embaressing i dont even want to talk when i hang out with my friends. thank you so much if any one has had experiance with this or is an oral surgeon and would know or if you just know it would be greatly apprciated.
