Does anyone know of that song that goes: "doo doo doo doo" like through the entire thing?

I love the song, but I just can't figure it out! If I recall correctly (I have a visual memory, so I only remember how I envisioned it when I heard it), there's something about a girl sitting at a diner(?, maybe) and a guy is outside the window shaking an umbrella... She's reading the newspaper... that's about all I remember; really, that's about all that's in the entire song. Basically a typical morning, I guess. I know that's being vague... but it's as specific as I know to get! The song is vague in itself! But it's wrecking my brain. Doing my head in... because it's at the tip of my tongue and... urgh, it's frustrating. You know the deal. Any ideas as to what song it might be? Greatly appreciated. =]
